What Is So Great About Whey Protein Powder Anyway?

So what is so great about whey protein powder anyway?  Let us now forget one of the main reasons why whey protein powder is such a great muscle building powder.

I have been reading more and more about whey protein manufacturing by the supplement company’s that are selling this great powder.  Supplement company’s that are selling whey protein powder are talking about how great their whey protein powder is because it comes from grass fed cows, or its organic, or its a whey protein powder concentrate.  Blah Blah Blah!!  But let us not forget one of the biggest reasons why whey protein powder is so good.  Whey protein is about 30 to 35% Branched Chain Amino Acids or BCAA’s.  BCAA’s are the building blocks of muscle.  BCAA’s consist of three amino acids:  Leucine, Valine, and Isoleucine.  These are essential amino acids.  In layman’s terms the body CANNOT make these amino acids.   You have to eat them in order to get them.  By the way that’s one of the reason’s I do not recommend L-Glutamine.  Your body can make glutamine.  It is a non-essential amino acid.

But anyway getting back to whey protein powder.  It contains a huge amount of BCAA’s.  The more BCAA’s you get the more muscle you are going to be growing.  And please, please do NOT buy yourself BCAA powder.  It is a big waste of money.  I try and try to convince my customers that you do not have to buy BCAA powder if you are using any dairy protein (casein and milk protein is high in BCAA also).  Use whey protein powder by itself and that is a good start.  Now recently we just got in Leunox, which is a leucine peptide.  Now that you can can add to your whey protein powder.  Why?  Because number one, its technically a hydrolzed whey isolate that is 50% leucine peptide.  It is not a free form amino acid (L-Leucine).

If you take a whey protein and combine it will Leucine Peptides you have yourself one anabolic powder.  If you use something like my Ultra 97 whey isolate you are getting yourself the most amount of BCAA’s naturally and then add 10% leucine peptides and you have easily the highest concentration of BCAA’s know to man.  Thus make it 90% Ultra 97 whey protein powder and 10% leucine Peptides.
